What is CVE-2017-5233?

The installers of Rapid7 AppSpider Pro prior to version 6.14.053 are susceptible to a DLL preloading vulnerability. This flaw allows an attacker to place a malicious DLL in the working directory, enabling the installer to load it during execution. If exploited, this vulnerability could compromise the security of users by allowing arbitrary code execution, leading to potential system breaches.
