What is CVE-2017-5554?

A vulnerability in ABOOT affects OnePlus 3 and 3T devices running OxygenOS versions prior to 4.0.2. This flaw allows physical attackers to reboot the device into fastboot mode without authentication. By leveraging ADB access, attackers can execute commands that alter the platform's SELinux state to permissive. This modification significantly diminishes the security model, exposing the device to further potential exploits.
