Bootloader Vulnerability in OnePlus Devices Affecting OxygenOS
CVE-2017-5626
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2017-5626?
A vulnerability exists in OxygenOS prior to version 4.0.2 on OnePlus 3 and 3T devices that enables attackers to execute hidden fastboot oem commands (4F500301 and 4F500302). These commands allow the attacker to unlock or lock the device's bootloader without user confirmation or the need for a factory reset. This flaw facilitates persistent high privileges code execution, effectively granting complete access to user data and compromising device security.
