What is CVE-2017-5947?

A vulnerability has been identified in multiple OnePlus smartphone models running OxygenOS 5.0 and earlier. This issue enables an attacker to exploit the device by rebooting it into Qualcomm's Emergency Download (EDL) mode through either ADB commands or by using the Volume-Up button while connected via USB. This could lead to unauthorized downgrading of critical partitions, including the Android Bootloader, thereby compromising the security and functionality of the device.
