What is CVE-2017-6025?
A Stack Buffer Overflow vulnerability exists in the CODESYS Web Server, a component of the CODESYS WebVisu visualization software. This security flaw affects versions 2.3 and earlier, allowing attackers to exploit the application by sending excessively long strings to XML-handling functions. Due to inadequate verification of string sizes before memory operations, this can lead to application crashes or potential execution of arbitrary code, posing significant risks to the affected systems.
