What is CVE-2017-6044?
An improper authorization vulnerability has been identified in the Sierra Wireless AirLink Raven XE and XT devices, allowing unauthorized access to sensitive functions without authentication. Attackers could exploit this weakness to perform actions such as arbitrary file uploads and downloads, as well as reboot the device remotely, potentially leading to significant security breaches. The affected versions are all versions of the AirLink Raven XE prior to 4.0.14 and the AirLink Raven XT prior to 4.0.11.
