What is CVE-2017-6619?
A vulnerability in the web-based GUI of the Cisco Integrated Management Controller allows remote, authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands on affected systems. The issue arises from inadequate sanitization of user-supplied HTTP input, enabling attackers to exploit it by sending crafted HTTP POST requests containing deserialized user data. Successful exploitation grants attackers root-level privileges, facilitating further malicious activities on the system.
