What is CVE-2017-6721?
A vulnerability in the processing of fragmented TCP packets by Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) could enable an unauthenticated remote attacker to trigger an unexpected restart of the WAASNET process. This can lead to a denial of service (DoS) condition, disrupting services for legitimate users and impacting overall network stability. The issue specifically affects WAAS version 6.3(1), while fixes are available in versions 6.3(0.143) and 6.2(3c)6 and 6.2(3.22).
