What is CVE-2017-6727?

A vulnerability exists in the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol within Cisco's Wide Area Application Services (WAAS). This flaw could enable an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a denial of service (DoS) condition. Exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to unexpected process restarts and the generation of Core Dump files, potentially disrupting the functioning of the affected devices.
