What is CVE-2017-6762?
A security issue exists within the web-based management interface of Cisco Jabber Guest Server versions 10.6(9), 11.0(0), and 11.0(1). This vulnerability arises from inadequate validation of user-supplied input, making it susceptible to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this flaw by convincing a user of the affected interface to click on a specially crafted link. If successfully exploited, this could enable the attacker to execute arbitrary script code, potentially compromising sensitive browser-based information.
