Remote Code Execution Vulnerability in vBulletin by vBulletin Solutions
CVE-2017-7569
8.6HIGH
What is CVE-2017-7569?
Prior to version 5.3.0, vBulletin is susceptible to a vulnerability that allows remote attackers to execute Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) attacks. This weakness stems from a flaw in the PHP parse_url function, which enables a determined attacker to circumvent existing security patches and potentially manipulate server requests, causing unintended actions within the application's backend. The vendor has advised users to upgrade their vBulletin installations to mitigate this risk.
