What is CVE-2017-7586?

A vulnerability in libsndfile prior to version 1.0.28 allows for a stack-based buffer overflow in the header_read() function when handling ID3 tags. This can be triggered by processing specially crafted FLAC audio files, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or system crashes.
