What is CVE-2017-7809?
A use-after-free vulnerability arises from premature deletion of an editor DOM node during tree traversal while still being linked to the document. This flaw may lead to exploitable crashes in affected applications, impacting user experience and application stability. The vulnerability is present in versions of Thunderbird prior to 52.3, Firefox ESR prior to 52.3, and Firefox prior to 55, making those versions susceptible to attacks that exploit this behavior.
