What is CVE-2017-8116?

The management interface, LuCI, utilized by Teltonika RUT9XX routers is susceptible to a remote command execution vulnerability. This issue arises when attackers exploit shell metacharacters in the username parameter during the login process, allowing them to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. Affected firmware versions include those up to and including 00.03.265, posing a significant risk to network security.
