What is CVE-2017-8117?
The UMA product developed by Huawei is susceptible to a privilege elevation vulnerability stemming from inadequate parameter validation and processing. By exploiting this flaw, an attacker can send specially crafted packets to manipulate the system, potentially gaining elevated privileges and compromising the security of the affected versions, namely V200R001 and V300R001.
