What is CVE-2017-8140?

The soundtrigger driver in Huawei P9 Plus smartphones prior to software version VIE-AL10BC00B353 is vulnerable to a memory double free issue. This vulnerability can be exploited by an attacker who convinces a user to install a malicious application. The compromised application can initiate multiple threads attempting to free the same memory, potentially leading to a crash of the system or enabling arbitrary code execution, posing significant risks to device integrity and user data.
