What is CVE-2017-8183?

The MTK platform used in select Huawei smartphones is susceptible to a memory access vulnerability that can be exploited by an attacker. By deceiving the user into downloading and installing a malicious application, the attacker can manipulate data access, which may lead to unauthorized exposure of sensitive information.
