What is CVE-2017-8841?

An arbitrary file deletion vulnerability exists in Peplink Balance devices, allowing attackers to exploit the absolute path traversal in the cgi-bin/MANGA/firmware_process.cgi file. This issue affects devices with firmware versions prior to fw-b305hw2_380hw6_580hw2_710hw3_1350hw2_2500-7.0.1-build2093, enabling unauthorized deletion of files through manipulation of the upfile.path parameter.
