Summary
The firmware of Cisco DPC3939 devices misconfigures the CM MAC address with a two-byte offset from the MTA/VoIP MAC address. This flaw can be exploited by remote attackers to reveal hidden Home Security Wi-Fi networks through the manipulation of the DNS hostname that includes the MTA/VoIP MAC address, posing a risk to network security and privacy for users.
