What is CVE-2017-9528?
The vulnerability in IrfanView version 4.44 (32bit) with FPX Plugin 4.46 allows attackers to create specially crafted .fpx files that, when opened, can lead to arbitrary code execution or denial of service. This happens due to a failure in the processing of .fpx files, specifically related to the 'User Mode Write AV' at a certain execution point. Such vulnerabilities can have severe consequences for users, allowing unauthorized access and system compromise.
