What is CVE-2017-9530?

An issue in IrfanView version 4.44 (32bit) can allow attackers to execute arbitrary code or trigger a denial of service through specially crafted files. This flaw arises from improper handling of data from a faulting address, which is then used as arguments in subsequent function calls.
