What is CVE-2017-9533?
The vulnerability allows attackers to exploit IrfanView version 4.44 (32bit) when used with FPX Plugin 4.46. By crafting a specific .fpx file, an attacker can potentially execute arbitrary code or induce a denial of service condition. This flaw is traced back to a memory access issue within the FPX decoding functionality, which can be triggered when processing specially crafted files.
