The 'Upload logo from external path' function in SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor version 12.0.15300.90 is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the path field using a '..' sequence, triggering a persistent error message stating 'Cannot exit above the top directory.' This effectively disrupts the web application's usability, displaying the error message continuously across the interface due to a failure in the directory-traversal protection mechanism.
