Summary
The Philips IntelliVue MX40 WLAN monitor may incorrectly associate with central monitoring systems under certain network conditions. This flaw can lead to situations where the device appears disconnected, while still transmitting vital telemetry data. If an alarm occurs while the device is believed to be in local monitoring mode, clinical staff may not receive timely alerts necessary for patient care, potentially delaying treatment responses.
