What is CVE-2017-9772?

The OCaml compiler versions 4.04.0 and 4.04.1 are affected by a vulnerability that allows malicious external code to be executed with elevated permissions. This can occur when the environment variables CAML_CPLUGINS, CAML_NATIVE_CPLUGINS, or CAML_BYTE_CPLUGINS are manipulated. Attackers may exploit this flaw to execute code within binaries that are setuid, potentially compromising the system's security and integrity.
