Incorrect Password Management in SMA Solar Technology Products
CVE-2017-9852
What is CVE-2017-9852?
The vulnerability in SMA Solar Technology products arises from inadequate password management practices, where default passwords are often left unchanged. This situation increases the risk of unauthorized access, particularly since user passwords frequently remain as defaults. Additionally, certain hidden user accounts may possess fixed passwords that cannot be altered by users. This vulnerability is compounded by other related issues that can expose these accounts’ passwords to potential attackers.
