What is CVE-2017-9880?

A security flaw in IrfanView version 4.44 (32bit) with the FPX Plugin version 4.46 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service. This is achievable through a maliciously crafted .fpx file, exploiting weaknesses in how data from faulting addresses affect code execution flow. Users are advised to update to the latest version of the software to mitigate risks associated with this vulnerability.
