What is CVE-2018-0332?
A vulnerability exists in the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) processing mechanism of Cisco Unified IP Phone software. This issue permits unauthenticated remote attackers to exploit the system by flooding it with a high volume of SIP INVITE packets. The lack of effective flow-control in the software can lead to service disruptions, making the device unresponsive. If successfully exploited, the vulnerability results in a denial of service condition, impacting the availability of the targeted IP phone.
