What is CVE-2018-0406?
A vulnerability exists in the web-based management interface of the Cisco Web Security Appliance that could enable an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct reflected or DOM-based cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This issue arises from inadequate validation of user-supplied input by the management interface. By tricking an authorized user into clicking a specially crafted link, an attacker could execute arbitrary script code within the context of the affected interface, potentially allowing access to sensitive information stored in the user's browser.
