What is CVE-2018-0491?

A use-after-free vulnerability was identified in the Tor software, specifically in versions 0.3.2.x prior to 0.3.2.10. This flaw allows attackers to exploit the KIST implementation, enabling them to add a communication channel to the pending list multiple times. Consequently, this can lead to a denial of service, causing the Tor relay to crash and potentially disrupt the network's functionality.
