What is CVE-2018-1000167?
The Suricata-Update by OISF has a vulnerability that allows for insecure deserialization due to the usage of the yaml.load function. This flaw can be exploited through the 'list-sources' command, potentially resulting in remote code execution. An attacker could craft a malicious YAML file to execute arbitrary code, even with root privileges, if the Suricata-Update is executed by a user with such access. This issue has been addressed in version 1.0.0b1.
