Server-Side Request Forgery in Jenkins GitHub Plugin by CloudBees
CVE-2018-1000184
5.4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2018-1000184?
A server-side request forgery vulnerability exists in the Jenkins GitHub Plugin versions prior to 1.29.0. The flaw allows attackers with Overall/Read permissions to manipulate the Jenkins server into sending GET requests to arbitrary URLs. This can potentially lead to exposure of sensitive data, as the server inadvertently accesses resources that should otherwise be secure and inaccessible. Proper access control measures and updates are essential to mitigate this risk.
