What is CVE-2018-1000884?

Vesta CP contains a vulnerability in its password reset functionality that arises from timing discrepancies in the web/reset/index.php script. This weakness allows attackers to infer valid password reset codes and potentially alter administrator passwords due to unauthenticated network access. The issue exists in versions prior to 0.9.8-19 and has been addressed in the fix following commit f6f6f9cfbbf2979e301956d1c6ab5c44386822c0.
