Directory Traversal Issue in D-Link Routers
CVE-2018-10822
What is CVE-2018-10822?
The D-Link routers including DWR-116, DIR-140L, DIR-640L, DWR-512, DWR-712, DWR-912, DWR-921, and DWR-111 have a directory traversal vulnerability in their web interface. This flaw allows remote attackers to exploit the system to read arbitrary files by using crafted HTTP requests that manipulate the directory structure. This issue stems from an inadequate solution to a previous vulnerability, highlighting systemic security weaknesses in the affected models. Users are urged to upgrade their devices to fixed versions to mitigate the risk.
