What is CVE-2018-10901?
A vulnerability exists in the KVM virtualization subsystem of the Linux kernel where improper GDT.LIMIT restoration allows an attacker to manipulate the Global Descriptor Table. This lack of a proper GDT limit restoration can lead to arbitrary modifications within per-CPU data structures. By exploiting this flaw, a malicious actor could gain elevated privileges within the affected environment.
