Remote Information Disclosure in Moxa OnCell G3100-HSPA Series Devices
CVE-2018-11421
What is CVE-2018-11421?
The Moxa OnCell G3100-HSPA Series devices, specifically versions up to 1.6 Build 17100315, are susceptible to a vulnerability that allows remote unauthenticated users to access sensitive information, including the administrator's password. The proprietary monitoring protocol utilized by these devices transmits data in an unsecured plain text format, enabling interception and modification by malicious actors. Additionally, under certain conditions, the protocol may expose further sensitive data, such as the content of HTTP requests and remnants of previously used passwords due to memory leakages, thus posing significant risks to device security.
