CVE-2018-11422
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2018-11422?
The Moxa OnCell G3100-HSPA Series devices utilize a proprietary configuration protocol that lacks essential security measures, such as confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. As a result, all communications are transmitted in plain text, making it possible for attackers to intercept and alter data. This vulnerability allows any command—including device reboot, configuration changes, and firmware updates—to be executed without proper authentication, potentially leading to unauthorized access and control over the devices.
