Summary
In Apache Mesos, there exists a vulnerability where the parsing of a JSON payload with deeply nested structures can lead to a stack overflow caused by unbounded recursion. This issue affects multiple versions of Mesos and can be exploited by a malicious actor to trigger a denial of service condition, rendering the Mesos-controlled cluster inoperable. Affected versions include pre-1.4.x, 1.4.0 through 1.4.2, 1.5.0 through 1.5.1, 1.6.0 through 1.6.1, and 1.7.0.
