What is CVE-2018-1193?

The Cloud Foundry routing-release is susceptible to a security issue due to inadequate sanitization of user-defined X-Forwarded-Proto headers. This flaw enables a remote attacker to manipulate these headers in a request, resulting in the potential circumvention of application policies that enforce secure communication. As a consequence, applications may inadvertently respond over unsecured connections, posing significant risks to data integrity and confidentiality.
