What is CVE-2018-12421?

LTB (LDAP Tool Box) Self Service Password prior to version 1.3 is vulnerable to improper input validation, allowing an attacker to change a user password without the need for the old password. This vulnerability arises due to improper handling of the ldap_bind return value and lack of constraints on the PHP data type, enabling maliciously crafted POST requests to exploit the system. This could lead to unauthorized access and compromise user accounts.
