What is CVE-2018-1259?

A vulnerability exists in Spring Data Commons when used with XMLBeam versions 1.4.14 or earlier. Due to inadequate restrictions on XML external entity references, an unauthenticated remote attacker can craft specific requests that exploit projection-based request payload binding, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive files on the underlying system.
