What is CVE-2018-1271?

The Spring Framework allows applications to serve static resources from the file system on Windows devices. This functionality, if misconfigured, may be exploited by attackers using specially crafted URLs to perform directory traversal attacks. Such vulnerabilities can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive files or directories on the server, compromising the security of the entire application.
