What is CVE-2018-14295?
This vulnerability in Foxit PhantomPDF allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations when a user interacts with a malicious PDF. The flaw arises during the handling of shading patterns in PDF documents, where user-supplied data is not adequately validated, leading to an integer overflow prior to buffer allocation. Consequently, an attacker could potentially execute code within the context of the current process by tricking users into visiting a harmful page or opening a malicious file.
