What is CVE-2018-14424?
The Gnome Display Manager (GDM) version 3.29.1 fails to properly handle the destruction of display objects within its D-Bus interface. This oversight allows local attackers to exploit this weakness through a carefully crafted sequence of D-Bus method calls, which may lead to a denial of service or even potential arbitrary code execution.
