Linux Kernel Memory Leak Vulnerability in AF_VSOCK Protocol
CVE-2018-14625
5.3MEDIUM
What is CVE-2018-14625?
A flaw exists in the Linux Kernel that exploited a race condition between the connect() and close() functions of the AF_VSOCK protocol, allowing potential attackers within a VM guest environment to read kernel memory uncontrolled. This could lead to a leak of sensitive information or allow for the interception and possible corruption of AF_VSOCK messages intended for other clients, thus posing significant risks to system integrity and data security.
