What is CVE-2018-14629?

A vulnerability affecting Samba's LDAP server prior to versions 4.7.12, 4.8.7, and 4.9.3 allows an unprivileged local attacker to exploit a CNAME loop. This could result in infinite recursion within the server, ultimately leading to a denial of service condition. Attackers can create malicious entries to exploit this weakness, thus disrupting service availability.
