Cross-Site Scripting Risk in IBM BigFix Platform
CVE-2018-1480
4MEDIUM
What is CVE-2018-1480?
The IBM BigFix Platform versions 9.2.0 through 9.2.14 and 9.5 through 9.5.9 are vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting due to the absence of the 'HttpOnly' attribute on authorization tokens and session cookies. This oversight could allow attackers to exploit existing XSS vulnerabilities to retrieve cookie values through malicious JavaScript, potentially leading to unauthorized access to user sessions.
