What is CVE-2018-16881?

A denial of service vulnerability exists in Rsyslog's imptcp module, allowing an attacker to exploit the imptcp socket by sending a specially crafted message. This can lead to the crash of Rsyslog, disrupting logging and monitoring services. Users are advised to upgrade to Rsyslog version 8.27.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
