What is CVE-2018-16957?
The Oracle WebCenter Interaction search service contains a serious vulnerability due to a hardcoded password embedded in the queryd.exe binary. This password is fixed and cannot be altered by users, which poses a risk to security. An attacker with network access to this service could exploit the vulnerability to execute search queries, granting them potential access to sensitive information stored within the WCI installation. As this product has reached end-of-life status, Oracle has not provided support or validation for this issue.
