What is CVE-2018-17440?
A vulnerability in D-Link Central WiFi Manager prior to v 1.03r0100-Beta1 allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to exploit an exposed FTP server running on port 9000. The service utilizes hardcoded credentials, enabling an attacker to upload malicious files to the web root directory. Once uploaded, these files can be executed, potentially allowing the attacker to run arbitrary PHP code on the server, compromising the security of the system.
